Audio Systems: wireless speaker, male rca, rca output

Question
Hi there, I have an advent outdoor wireless speaker and the transmitter has a headphone plug on it however when I plug it in to my reciever the two wired speakers go off. Is there another way that I can hook up this wireless speaker? I do have two open speaker jacks on the back of my reciever. I would like to have the two speakers in the house on as well as the wireless one on in the back yard. Thanks Paul

Answer
A Line-Out Converter is your best bet, yet I have searched for an hour trying to find one capable of handling the output power of a home reciever (approx. 100 watts/channel). This is the only one that claims such a feat - http://www.hlabs.com/technical/audioaccessories/

If the reciever has RCA output connectors, you can get a stereo male RCA to a stereo female 1/8" (or 1/4", whatever you have) jack from RadioShack and go that route.

There is an alternative, but it may produce undesired results or damage. There is an internal switch on the heaphone jack that turns off the speakers when a headphone plug is plugged in. A qualified electronics tech can disable this feature, but it would also void any warranty and could cause other problems as stated.
