Audio Systems: stereo amplifier, stereo amplifier, rca input

Question
I have an OLD stereo system and the amplifier has died. We tried replacing the fuse but it truely has died. I want to know where i may possibly be able to find an amplifier that i can use with the system since everything else was working. The amplifier was a Fisher model number CA-272.

Answer
Unfortunately I would have to buy the manual for that amplifier to see what it is. My guess is that it is over 30 years old and is from the original Fisher line made in the good old USA. If so and it's a basic amplifier and any modern replacement will do as long as it has RCA input connectors and low impedance (8ohm) speaker terminals. You should be able to find something cheap at Radio Shack, Best Buy or by surfing the web for deals.
