Audio Systems: Car Audio Sub-Woofer connection, watts rms, ohm load

Question
I have a MTX TC4002 two channel amplifier rated at 400 watts RMS.  I want to connect to a MTX Thunder 8000 Duel 4 ohm MTX 12" Sub (T81244A) rated at 400 watts RMS.
Can I run this at two oums or must it be the 4 oums.  The sub has two connections on it.
Thanks
Mark

Answer
thank you very much for including the model numbers,  most people leave that out and I'm left to guess!

ok, so the sub has 2 connections  (acutally 4 separate plugs or connections right?)  this is a dual voicecoil sub and each coil is 4 ohms so you have to use them both.  you can either wire them in series to create an 8 ohm load or you can connect them in parallel to create a 2 ohm load.
Unfortunatly your amp only supports 4 ohms in bridged mode (the 2 ohm rating is for stereo) so you have to run the coils in series to make an 8 ohm load.  this will make your amp put out 200 watts. runing them in parallel will make your amp overheat.
