Audio Systems: Pioneer DEHP544R single car radio cd player, pioneer unit, power wires

Question
I am actually trying to install this unit in a purpose built console in a caravan.  Unfortunately i have no wiring diagrams for either the unit or the caravan so i have been guessing.  At present i am getting power to the unit but the display lights up on and off then beeps and goes off..I am getting no other functions  I take it that this may be something to do with entering a key code however it is not asking for one.  Is there anywhere i can get the installation wiring diagram for the Pioneer unit please as it is a 1998 model

Answer
Most aftermarket units dont have key codes so I dont think that's it.
The wires are typically certain colors and you can use proccess of elimination to figure them out
Firs there should be 8 speaker wires,  they will usually be green, white, grey, brown, or purple.  the way to tell that these are the speaker wires is that there will be 2 of each and one will have a black stripe on it.  so you'll have a green and green with black stripe.  and you'll have a brown, and a brown with black stripe, etc. so this weeds out 8 of the wires.

Most radios will also have a blue wire for turning on amps, and some have an orange wire for illumination/dimmer controll.

What's left should be your power wires:
USUALLY ITS:

Black = ground
Yellow = constant power (direct from batt and doesnt shut off with key)
red = switched on and off power with key

sometimes you can tell the power wires cuz they're fatter than the others, that may help.
Good luck and let me know how it goes!
