Audio Systems: car stereo dead, pioneer deh 1600 cd player, pioneer deh 1600

Kevin,
I have a 94 Mazda 626 with a Pioneer DEH-1600 cd player.  The battery died last week and after getting the electrical system checked and installing a new battery the CD player will not even turn on.  The car fuse appears to be good, and the power side view mirrors which are supposed to work on the same fuse also work.
Any suggest

For car stereo and other mobile, low voltage questions, please go to the allexperts.com section Autos > Auto Repair > Car Radio/Stereo System Repair or you can try one of the other guys in “Audio Systems” who handles car stereos. I don’t.
