Audio Systems: Jensen Radio Connections, red hot wire, jensen car

Question
I bought a Jensen car radio (the one with i-plug connector)a to replace an older radio in my 19 foot boat.

I disconnected the old connections and connected the new Radio per the manual.

I now have a problem that the radio drains the battery during the week when i don't use the boat, even though the radio is not turned on nor is the accessory key turned on.  It seems like this radio pulls more power from the boat battery
in the off position than the previous one.

I notice that the red hot wire is split......with a red and a yellow wire.  The yellow is apparently for the memory function.  I tried to connect without the memory wire......but then I don't have any power.

It does not seem to have a switched/unswitched capability as the radio can work without the key switched to accessory.

Ideas?

Answer
yellow goes to the battery and red to ignition  if the key is off no power will go to the radio

if that don't work connect the yellow with the red wire to the ignition and that will stop your problem but every time you go out you will need to record the momorys again it is also posible that something is wrong with the radio
