It means you can simply connect your iPod® to a headunit with an iPod® adapter for distraction-free, hands-on-the-wheel safe driving. Your iPod completely integrates into your familiar sound system. Control it just like you normally handle your in-car audio: right on your headunit, using the remote, or best yet, using your steering wheel remote control.
Many will even recharge the Ipod©.
There are also adaptors sold that will suit most any headunit which has 'auxilary' line level (RCA or DIN) inputs. There are specially made headunits that have these adaptors built in from the factory.
