Audio Systems: Mercedes 91 300SE Factory Radio wont accept code, memory reset, factory radio

Battery was disconnected for transmission removal and repair at reputable shop. Radio flashes "wait" continually when turned on and will not accept the theft deterrent code for reactivation. Pressing  buttons has no effect. I removed and replaced the same fuse hoping for a memory reset.  Antenna operates normally. Any help?

What happened here is that you or somebody tried to insert a wrong number as code 3 times (twice only in some models)so the radio will block itself to prevent that somebody try a list of codes, what you have to do now is just keep the ignition key in "ON" position fo two hours after that the word "CODE"will appear again so you can insert the right code.
