Audio Systems: 95 infinity j30 bose stereo system, infinity j30, daisey chain

The stereo just stop working.I put a cd in it said err so i cleaned the cd off put it back in and the radio just stopped working.It wont play tapes,the radio nothing it doesn't turn off it stays on all night and all day.It just makes an humming sound. What's the problem and what's an estimate of how much it will cost to repair?

An 11 year old mobile Bose system problem?  This is all too common. You're lucky to have gotton this much use out of it.

It is probably in need of a total system replacement. I would suggest a local professional mobile audio shop.
I would not even consider repairing it at that age, or you will likely get into a daisey chain of repeat trips to the repair shop as other problems arise.
You are looking at anywhere from 300.00 and up for aftermarket parts, plus installation for a deck and speakers. If you want to continue using high power dedicated amplifiers, it will depend on what you want to replace them with and how much you are willing to spend to get it.
