Audio Systems: More (cheap) Bass, woofers, woofer

Hi Tom,
I recently installed a Kenwood head unit in my Volvo hoping to gain a little more bass but was disappointed.  My question is, can I add a woofer without a sub amp? I'm not looking to rattle the neighbours windows or make my ears bleed, I just want a little more bass without spending a fortune. If I were to add a woofer, how would I wire it?

You may want to try installing three way speakers that have a super bass cross over installed on the speaker assemblies. You can install one or two woofers, however this would take some caution to be sure that you don't over load the amps in the Kenwood head unit.
