Audio Systems: speaker has no sound, factory speakers, ebay

Hi Cody,
I have a '96Dodge Neon. My car stereo has 6 speakers, when turned on one of the speakers in front has no sound except static. Could it be the problem with the speaker or the wires? Please let me know soon.  Thanks!

  the speaker is blown and most often than not needs to be replaced .. this is common in cars over 5-6 years old and i've even seen it in new cars less than 6 months old .. the voice coil has more than likly blown and is causing the static .. the best way to find out what size speaker is to go to crutchfield.com and see what fits your car and then you can shop around for the best deal .. you might even search ebay and find a set of factory speakers if you dont want to buy aftermarket .. if you need anything else let me know
