Audi Repair: 2000 Audi A4 - Brake Light, audi a4 quattro, plastic tab

Question
Hi!  I have a 2000 Audi A4 Quattro and I am attempting to replace the brake light on the driver side.  It appears as though the felt side panel cover the rear of the light assembly is held in place by one "clip-on bolt" and is underneath the plastic trunk-end piece and the felt cover of the spare tire.  I removed these obstructions, only to find that the metal box upon which the tire change kit rests is also in the way.  Any tips on changing the brake light without bring it in to be serviced?

Answer
If I remember correctly, there are only two nuts on the rear of the light that need to be loosened, the fitting on the front is a plastic ball push-in type.  SO once you get the rear side loose you will notice that the light can be manipulated out, be careful not to break the plastic tab!  The procedure is described on a few of the forums with pictures, let me know if you cannot find these then I'll look up the link.  Jan
