Cadillac Repair: Cadillac Seville STS 2000, cadillac seville sts, shade tree mechanic

Whilst drivingmy Cadillace Seville STS the screen went blank.  When I arrived at my destination and parked. I turned of the engine and ried to start it again.  Nothing happens. I checked the battery connections and all was well.  What could be the problem please.

Unfortunatly, there are no easy answers on these cars and I would definately tell you to stay away from a shade tree mechanic. These cars can be complicated. The diagnoses and repair might not cost much, but all I can do with the internet is give you some ideas with me not being at the car.
Mdo not go to Cadillac. There are many service centers capable of working on the car for half the price of a dealer.

Here are some ideas:  with the screen going out and then not starrting. Bad connection on bulkhead under steering column under dash.  Could be a blown fusible link at the starter or at the alternator. These links supply power to the vehicle.
