QuestionQUESTION: Cadillac Deville (2002)
Sometimes when I unlock the car door the cooling systems comes on. This is before the key is even in the ignition. I have even walked up to the car one time and I could hear the cooling system running before I even put the key in the door. This has happened probably a dozen times since I got the car two months ago.
FYI there was an after market remote car starter and key FOB for remote door locks with the car when I got it. For some reason the remote key FOB was disabled due to some "problem" . The remote car starter and remote keyless entry were disabled before I got the car)
Otherwise the car works fine.
Any ideas?
ANSWER: Is what your telling me is that the electric cooling fans turn ON when the ignition key is out of the ignition lock and the electric fans even run when your near or away from the vehicle.
This is NOTHING to worry about as someone has altered the way the fans operate so that the fans will cool down the engine faster.
Don't worry about it, It will cause no damage to the vehicle. Some car manufacturers even design this feature into their vehicles.
You have nothing to worry about.

QUESTION: This is not the Electric engine cooling fans. This is the Heating/Cooling fans for the interior of the car.
I get in the car and the air conditioning system is blowing air though the dash vents.
AnswerMy apologies, This problem is unusual. Your problem is either A faulty:
Blower control module.
instrument panel module.
blower motor.
intermittent ground circuit.
You will need several pictures and testing directions in order to find the faulty component.
