Cadillac Repair: 89 caddy broughm, rear disc brakes, brake rotors

QUESTION: My breaks are low and I replaced the caliper , break line and breaks, the mechanic said there ok but the touch the floor, what's up? Thanks so much, Joe

This IS a normal Cadillac brake pedal. However they made an updated parking brake arm that mounts on the caliper that had more notches in it so you could get the brake pedal to work better.

The only other thing you can do is take off the calipers and see how tight the brakes are against the rear brake rotors and you can remove the caliper and unscrew the pistons outward a little bit and reinstall the brake pads and re-mount the calipers so that the brake pads drag against the rotor tighter.

This has always been a problem with Cadillac rear disc brakes.
