Cadillac Repair: floods up when start, vacuum line, vacuum hose

Question
well  we did  tune up  on this car  we have a  1979  cady  Seville  with  a 5.7 motor  we change the spark plugs  twice what  could be  causing  it to  flood up

Answer
There is a vacuum line that connects to the computer which is located under the center of the dash near the hump in the floor that connects to the computer and to the intake manifold. If this hose is EVER removed and the engine is started it blows the computer instantly. So when you replace the computer make DAMN sure that this vacuum hose is OK  or you will blow the new computer.

I am NOT saying that this WAS the cause, Just providing you with this important information.

In your case, The cause is a fault within the computer and it MUST be replaced. I would also STRONGLY suggest that you replace the COOLANT SENSOR due to age of the sensor.
