Question
QUESTION: I have a 92 Cadillac Fleetwood(FWD) 4.9L.
I am getting these codes: E30, E12, E98, E96.
What advice do you have on these and can they be fixed?

ANSWER: E12 = No distributor signal.

E30 = Idle speed control motor out of range.

E96 = Torque converter overstress for the transmission.

E98 = High engine RPM due to faulty ISC motor.

QUESTIONS: Are ANY of these codes displaying as EE codes ?

QUESTION: They all display as E codes. And yes it starts. Just poor gas milage and runs a little ruff.

Answer
OK, Lets CLEAR all the codes from the computer and see if any return.

re-enter diagnostics and when you see .7.0

simultaneously push and hold the OFF and HI buttons IN until you see E.0.0 and release the buttons.

Shut off the car, wait 2 minutes and drive the car and see if any codes return.
