Cadillac Repair: 1998 Deville A/C, interdynamics, air moisture

Question
Tom,
1998 Deville a/c system blows hot air.  Digital cluster reads low refrigerant-A/C off.  The compressor as a result is not coming on, but when I check low side pressure on an 80 degree day the reading is 100psi.  I tried jumpering the low side pressure switch without success to try to get the compressor engaged to take r134a.  Does this mean I have too much air/moisture in line and need system evacuated.  I went to the interdynamics(r134a manufacturer) website and they said if pressure is above 65psi attempt to put in a half can of r134a to see if compressor will engage.  Please advise.  Thanks

Answer
You have to jumper the AC relay to get the compressor to run. Do NOT try using the low pressure SENSOR.

100 on the LOW side is to low to engage the compressor.

I can provide the location and directives to jumper the AC relay. E-mail me at: onlineautohelp@msn.com
