Cadillac Repair: 92 DEVILLE VENTILATION, blow gun, blower motor

92 DEVILLE- BLOWER RUNS,BUT VERY LITTLE AIR COMES OUT,A LITTLE MORE ON HI THAN LOW.BOTH HEAT AND A.C.SAME. NO REPAIRS,123K MILES.ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED! POST ON MESSAGE BOARD IF YOU LIKE.

Hi John, What you need to do is to remove the power module that is sitting on top of the blower motor housing which is held on by a couple of 7mm bolthead screws. Then look inside at the evaporator core and see if a mouse has used your car as a storehouse or if the front of the core is packed with debris. If the stuff is loose then vacuum it out through the module hole or take out the blower motor to gain access but if the oil has allowed the evap. to be plugged then you could use a longer blow gun if an air compressor is available or try a garden hose and nozzle to wash the stuff off the core. I have had to replace cores that were so plugged that they couldn't be cleaned enough to flow...hope that isn't the case. Bill
