Cadillac Repair: Cooling Fan Fault & Service Engine light comes on, safety precaution, dash light

Why does the "Cooling Fan Fault" sign keep coming on?  I just replaced the radiator & a/c compressor.

Also, now the "Service Engine" sign keeps coming on.

What do I do next?  Car has 148,000 miles on it.  I thought that I would get another 100,000 miles on it.

ANYTIME there is a fault within the electronics of the system the cooling fans automatically engage as a safety precaution to protect the engine from over heating.

So you could say that the fans go into the DEFAULT MODE.

You will have to access the computer codes to determine what area of the system has the problem that is causing your dash light to illuminate.
