Cadillac Repair: AUTO A/C, cadillac seville, 1992 cadillac seville

1992 Cadillac Seville 4.9 Engine .. NOT Northstar.  Air conditioning "whistles" when turned off.  Continues to whistle after engine is stopped.... like a teakettle.  Does this indicate a leak or what?

NOT necessarily. IF the A/C is still blowing COLD air as it always has in the past, Your problem is most likely a minor restriction in the A/C systems ORFICE TUBE.

I would NOT be very concerned about it unless you are having A/C cooling problems.

IF you just bought the car it may be NORMAL as many GM's do it. If you have had the vehicle for several years and this just started to occur, You could have the orfice tube replaced but this will require professional expertise by a knowledgeable technician.
