Chevrolet Repair: trac loc, wet pavement, speed sensors

Question
The trac loc light on my 2001 impala 110k sometimes flashes on even on dry streets on light acceleration. When it happens it seems to slightly pull. Any ideas? I have owned this since 40k and it sometimes would come on starting up on wet or snow pavement.

Answer
It's normal for the TRAC light to come on on wet pavement, snow, or even go over railroad tracks or bumps at a fast speed. If your TRAC light is coming on under normal driving you may have a problem with one of your wheel speed sensors. You'll need to get it looked at from a repair shop that has a scanner that can interface the TRAC system.
