Answer
Hi Denny,

This question was found in the trash can for questions.  Once it is there any of us can answer it.  I am not the orginal expert you contacted, but an happy to help...if I can.

This is a nice car.  I have a 1994 Z28.  The reason for the multiple wires in the new seat is the extra features.  The old and new seas may have similar color wires.  These are probably wires for the same functions.  No guarantee.  What I mean is, an orange from the older car and the orange from the newer seat may be the same function.  But without a schematic, no guarantee.  You may be able to get this schematic from Autozone.com.

Naturally you will not be able to use the two connectors.  You will have to cut them off and splice the wires in.  A great way to do this is by using the tips of trailer lights.  A couple of flat 4 connectors spliced on to the ends of the wires, or even a 7 way or 9 way plug.  Looks like a great job and gives you the ability to unplug like you have now from the factory.

You should have a connector under the carpet on the passanger side from the factory.  Find it and you found the wires to the passanger seat.  If you dont see these wires, then jump off the driver side from the side of the connection closet to the car.

The lumbar will need power and ground.  Many of the new options will need these.  You can find a place in the fuse box that is marked IGN.  or you can find one that is marked BATT.  IGN is live when the key is on.  Battery is live all the time.  Use a large wire so you can splce many accessories off of it.  Put a 'spade' crimp connection on the end of this wire and push this into the desired prong in the box.  Route this live power under the rug to the rest of the wires.  Find a good ground or a bracket to something under the rug and near by.  Dont drill into the floor pan.  Attach a large wire to this ground and route the other end to the connections.  Now the seat accessories that dont have wires already there, splce onto the wires you routed.

You will find blue colored wire slicers that work with pliers.  You will love using them.  However soldered connections are always better.

Good luck.  Should not be too difficult.  Get the schematics.
