Chevrolet Repair: bcm monte carlo, lamp switch, head lamp

01 monte carlo the problem i hvae is the bcm drops out when the light switch is pulled on. autoheadlamp control interior lamp inop all inop. let it sit and the bcm comes back on line just don`t use the switch. and all so with the key off the head lamp switch is inop i think the bcm is bad.

Yes you are probably correct.  You more than likely will need a bcm.  It is a common problem with those cars.  You will need to take it to the dealer for replacement because it needs two different types of reprogramming to make it work.  Without a scanner you are out of luck.  Average repair cost is about 233$ plus the part.
