Chevrolet Repair: 03 Tahoe A/C, chevy tahoe, easy job

I have a 03 Chevy Tahoe. Not to long ago the air stopped blowing out of the front vents and is now blowing out of the defrost vents. As soon as the vehicle is cranked it starts to blow out of the front vents and makes a popping noise under the dash. Then returns to defrost. I was told it was the actuator, not sure. Please help

Hi Chip, Yes the actuators are the most common part to fail. There have been many controls heads replaced without repairing the problem. This actuator is located down by the gas pedal and is not a easy job. Best way to repair this is have someone else do it!!
