Chevrolet Repair: Removing WSW/cruise lever, windshield wiper, garble

How do I remove the windshield wiper/cruise control stalk lever from the steering column on a '97 Suburban K1500?

Answer
If it has driver side air bag your going to need to disarm and disconnect that. After you have done this you need to remove the steering wheel. Once you get past all the garble in there you should be looking at the turn signal assembly. The lever should just be screwed in but your also going to have to drop the steering column and disconnect the plug on the top at the bottom of the column.
