Chevrolet Repair: 1998 Chev S-10 2.2, premium fuel, gas cap

S-10 pickup was running rough. changed fuel filter
still running rough. checked and appears someone had taken the gas cap. not sure how long gas cap was off. replaced cap. Still running rough. any suggestion? Pickup has about 69,000 miles new plugs and wires.

Answer
Put 2 bottles of DRY GAS or similar product so as to absorb any moisture that may have gotten into the gas tank.

Install a new gas cap and fill the fuel tank with PREMIUM fuel and run it for about 3 days and see if it starts to improve.
