Chevrolet Repair: fuel systems, chevy lovers, chris hicks

Question
My question really has to do with the availability of parts to switch from a carborated fuel system to a fuel injected fuel system. I have a 1986 Chev Suburban, 4x4,5.7L, a/c.  Do you have kits/parts to make this switch and if so what is cost.  Another thought, what are your feelings on this type of switch?
Thank you
Chris Hicks

Answer
Hello George,
I don't have any parts...I just answer questions in my spare time.
I have heard of people doing that switch, and having good luck.I heard of it in a forum I frequent. I am going to give you the address. It is a Chevy lovers forum, and is absolutely free. There are hundreds of members. You can look through the questions and answers without signing in, but to ask or answer a question you need to sign in.
Again, it is totally free, and well worth filling out the login stuff. If you work on cars or trucks, you will love it.
Ask the question, and title it something like "Converting to FI", or something interesting sounding, and a lot of people will read and answer it.

Go down to the Suburban area to post it. You can also post it under engine controls, etc.

Hope to see you there. I am FixitFox on that forum.
