Chevrolet Repair: 1999 Blazer, screw driver, jim murray

Question
Bought a 1999 Blazer for my son, 2door with a back window that lifts up and a tailgate that swings down.  There is an electrical button that you push to open the window.  It sounds like it is working when you push it but nothing happens.  I have tried to us the screw driver in the slot to manually move the latch to the open position.  It sounds like it is moving but the window still doens not open.  What is my next move?

Hi Jim, Well you need to get into the gate to release the window. You will need to pull out on the inside panel to get room to locate the release for the window. This might damage the panel a little bit but theres nothing you can do about that. Once you locate the release for the window and get it open you can locate the problem. Having someone push the button while you watch inside will help you find the part that will release the window.
