Chevrolet Repair: 1991 GMC 2500 Vandura, oil pressure switch, fuel pressure regulator

Question
Hi, my van has some problems when the motor warms up.  I will run fine then suddenly die.  I can put it in neutral and start it right back up while still going down the road.  I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel straner, fuel filter, and rebuilt the fuel pressure regulator and it still has the problem. I have also removed the exhaust from the motor back and it still has the problem.  It has a throttle body fuel injected 350.  It has good spark and runs out fine has good compression, it just shuts down when the motor warms up.  Can you think of anything I might have overlooked.
                        Thanks

Answer
Tough one, Clayton.
Could be a loose wire connection, or ignition switch loosing contact. Might try wiggling it next time to see if it just resumes.
If the ECM loses power momentarily, it may need the crank sense to restart, although I am not sure of that.
If something is being affected by heat, it seems that it would still be hot, and therefore not restart immediately, so I would tend to not think heat related.
Fuel pump relay dropping out would be something to look at, but there is a oil pressure switch which also sends power to the fuel pump as long as there is oil pressure, so unless they are both bad, I would think that isn't it.
ECM itself??  Kinda expensive guess.
I would connect a fuel pressure tester where I can see it while driving, and see if the pressure drops, causing the problem. If the pressure stays up, you have eliminated several possibilities.
One thing you might want to be sure of is a ground wire between the engine and the firewall.
Good luck,
Van
