Which engine do you have, 4 or 6 cyl.
Do you hear the fuel pump hum for about a second when your the key to the 'run' position?
Have you tried the ignition key to get a fault code: turn it "on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the check engine light to see it begin to flash, pause, flash, etc. Count the number of flashes before each pause. Then repeat the process to be sure of an accurate set of flash counts. Tell me counts in order of appearance. That may tell us why it won't start.

ANSWER: Hi Robert,
There are a couple of fuses you should check:
In the main power box in the engine compartment check a 30 amp fuse labeled "fuel pump/trans" and there is a fuse #8 (5 amp) in the fuse box that is under the dash. The first one powers the fuel pump and the second one powers the light on the cluster so that you can then do a fault code check out as I described in my first answer. Let me know the counts if the check engine light now comes 'on'. Also, is yours a 3.0 or a 3.3L v-6?

AnswerHi Robert,
It is necessary to get a fault code to solve this no start without spending money for unnecessary parts. You could try replacing the 'check engine' bulb in the cluster by borrowing one of the working bulbs that you described.
But let is also check that there is power to the autoshutdown relay which provides the power to the plugs and fuel pump. Find that relay in the power box (it may be labeled ASD). Remove the relay and verify that the rear pin socket show 12v even with the ignition switch off, and that the left side pin socket shows 12v with the ignition switch in run position.
When you checked the fuses did you verify they were good with an ohmmeter, because a fuse can look good but have a subtle crack in its wire.
