Chrysler Repair: 2002 3.0 Sebring code p0441 and stalling, vacuum lines, carbon canister

I am getting a code for p0441.  the car stalls.  once at a stop sign and again another time backing out of a parking spot right after starting.  i know its for evap system but where should i start.  also it seems like there is a lag with throttle response (i could be imagining thAT).  another possible symptom is it shifts like its low on trans fluid(like a delay then a moderate hard shift).  thanks ahead of time for any help you can give me

The code is specifically with regard to the evaporative collection system's purge control solenoid. It could be stuck open/stuck closed or one of the vacuum lines between it and the intake manifold or the carbon canister-fuel tank have a leak. So check both those hoses for cracks or a disconnect. The electical plug has wires that are white/tan and pink/black in color. Remove the plug and test the resistance across the terminals of the solenoid which should be 27 to 35 ohms. Then once you have done that, disconnect the battery for a few moments to erase the code and see whether it comes back. Ideally this will solve your problems. Roland
