Chrysler Repair: 2004 Chrysler T & C runs rough, cheysler, chrysler town

Question
QUESTION: Kevin, you posted a question regarding a 2002 T & C.  I have the exact same problem and my engine checks out just as yours did.  I have yet to resolve the problem and want to know what you did to fix yours.

Your post is as follows:  i am a shop owner in need of some help. i have a 2002 town n country. vehicle misses and runs rich. lt fuel trims at idle are at -24, fuel pressure is at 62lbs and is very steady.ive changed plugs, wires, fuel filter. lower intake was leaking coolant so we fixed that. still same problem. runs rough. compression is at 160 lbs on all cylinders.sometimes the miss fire counter works and we see miss fires on 5 and 6. the only codes that come up are p0172. all adaptive memories have been reset and still same problem.  Tom. cat was removed to see if it was clogged. vehicle was started with cat off and adaptive memory was reset but problem is still the same. good blue to purple spark on the coil pack on all prongs. injectors all ohm out at 11.2 and flow seems to be equal. 2002 chrysler town n country 3.8l. 183k miles

I could have written your post!!  One other issue I encountered was loss of power assist on the brakes when the problem first occurred.   Oddly enough the power steering worked even when the brakes quit working.  I guess the P/S pump will apply power steering assist even at extremely low erratic engine revolutions.  The engine seems to run on only 3 cylinders and vibrates badly.

Sure could use your help on this one.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Rod

QUESTION: Kevin, I don't understand your answer, "Rod I answers questions on this site I dont ask them."  You did not answer my question.  What about my van problem?  You had virtually the same problem with a 2002 Cheysler T & C and I'm asking you how you resolved your problem.  I'm not asking you to ask a question.  I'm asking you to answer my question.  If you don't have a solution that's OK, say so, but don't ball me up in a bunch of rhetoric and double talk!!

Thanks again in advance for your consideration of my request.

Rod

ANSWER: I have answered over 60,000 questions from people all around the world.

I am a member of this site by volunteer when people ask me a question about Chrysler,Dodge or Jeep car issues.   I give the advise   now with that said

I cant answer your question because of 2 things  one  I dont ask questions on this site  just answer them
2  if people dont fallow up on an issue and post there findings  there is nothing I can do about it.

If u have an issue make it your own  dont go off what other people have said or what ever  I need your info  your details  your things u have done or replaced or had checked out.

QUESTION: Kevin,

Somehow we are not communicating very well.  I want to apologize if I have in any way seemed ungrateful or critical.  I can't write a better post than you did concerning your 2002 Chrysler T & C.  It's because of your post that I am corresponding with you.

My van acts almost exactly the way yours did.  I have done the same things you did to trouble shoot it.  I am sincerely asking you how you resolved the problem with your van.  If you tell me how you resolved the above problem with your van then I will have a good possibility of resolving my problem.  It's really just that simple.  Just please tell me what you did to fix your 2002 Chrysler T & C.

Thanks again for working with me,

Rod
