Chrysler Repair: pt cruiser air bag light/cruise control, clock spring, postal mail

hi roland,my 2004 pt cruiser air bag light an chime comes on randomly whilst driving or sat idle and goes off.the cruise control has also stopped working although the CRUISE light does come on on the dash but will not set.my horn still works,is this a faulty clock spring.any help,thanks

Hi Richard,
Yes, all those symptoms are related to the clockspring having some failed connections. You might check to see if there was a recall on it or an extended warranty. If not and you wish to replace it yourself let me know and I can xerox the pages that cover the procedure and postal mail them to you.
