Chrysler Repair: starter: 95 Cirrus, chrysler cirrus, 1995 chrysler cirrus

Question
Hello, I would like to know how to remove my starter for my 1995 chrysler cirrus, 2.5 v6...I removed the 3 bolts, and removed the wires, and the oil filter, and it comes loose and is off, but cannot get it out, because it gets caught on the exhaust pipe!!!  At first I thought perhaps the engine mount would cause a problem, but that is not the case. And I cannot remove the exhaust pipe because the screws holding it on will snap or strip when I try and remove them because they are a special kind which aren't supposed to be removed. I have done alot of work on my car and this is the final step, and cannot get it off!!!  very frustrating!! please advise me how

Answer
Hi Jamie,
I checked the '96 and '99 manuals and the Haynes for '95-00 and found nothing other than the steps you have already taken. That seems to be a non-standard exhaust set up or maybe something that applies only to the '95 model that is involved.
