0700 means simply that there is a transmission-specific code also stored in the memory, which is indeed the 1768. The 1768 says that the output current from the relay to the solenoid box on the transmission is not present at the box. This may be a wire 'open' problem or a relay functional problem but it can be checked out quickly if the mechanic has the wiring diagram for the vehicle. Let me know what year/model/body/engine you have so that I can give you the details if you need them to move ahead. It should not be a major cost to fix this, just knowing exactly what to do.
