Motorcycle Repair: 1972 honda cl350 piston ring install, honda cl350, piston ring

I purchased a set of aftermarket 1st over pistons, rings and pins for this bike.  It came with 2 compression rings, a black one and a bi-metal one.  Which one is the top compression ring?

Jeff, the ring with the chrome face is the top ring.  The second ring is a ductile iron ring and has a black face.  Make sure you get the rings install right side up.  There will be a "T" a dot or some other indicator and that indicates it's the top of the ring.  If you see a .025 on the ring, that will be the top side too.
