Answer
Hi Victor,
The 0402 code is about the exhaust gas recirculation valve not working properly, and the 0171 and 0175 are about the fuel/air mixture being too lean on both banks of cylinders. Those codes are consistent with one another and it suggests to me that your egr valve is stuck slightly ajar which leans out the mixture so much as to prevent it from starting and idling. So check the egr valve stem to see if it is stuck and not moving freely. It is located below the thermostat housing, which is just below the coolatnt filler pipe. It is mounted in a small pipe that branches off of the front exhaust manifold and goes toward the rear of the engine. It has a round top with a vacuum hose atteched to it. The body of the valve is mounted in the pipe proper. Between the round top and the body of the valve is a flange area and if you look inside the flange you will see the valve stem. The stem has a slot into which the tip of a screwdriver can be inserted. If you move the stem back and forth you whould feel a spring-action trying to close the valve to a dead stop. It if isn't doing that smoothly then spray some WD-40 on the valve stme where it enters the body and work it back and forth. Then try to start the engine.
I don't see any reason why that would affect the spark so this may not be the only problem you have but at least if you get the valve to close all the way it would help to start once you do have spark.
