Chrysler Repair: 2001 300m: no AC controls/abs on/fuel gauge/headlamp malfunction, fuel gauge, abs light

Question
My sister has a 2001 300m and the climate controls stop responding and the fuel gauge goes to empty the ABS light comes on the headlight go out but everything else works. Problem was intermittent but today has been off all day. PLEASE HELP!

Answer
Hi James,
It hints at a problem with the digital data handling by the body computer, but let's try going for a fault code to see if there is something that has been recognized internally by the system.
Turn the ignition switchl:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window of the cluster to see if the mileage reading is replaced by a 4-digit number preceded by a P. If so let me know what it is and we'll go from there. If you don't get a code, then if you have an Autozone parts store nearby they may do a readout from a plug that is under the dash, for free. See if they come up with a fault code.
