Chrysler Repair: 300M Steering Coupler Pinch Bolt Repair, shaft coupler, wheel shaft

Question
Car 1999 300m with 115k miles.  The steering sticks when returning to center on left or right turns.  I'm pretty sure the source is the intermediate shaft coupler.  Can the coupler be replaced without removing the steering wheel/shaft?  The pinch bolt side looks easy but the steering shaft side is not explained in my repair manuals.  It looks like cap screw but I don't know.  Is the coupler sold as a stand alone part?

Thanks

Answer
Hi Tony,
I have the '99 manual and according to that you have to take the column out to replace the steering column upper shaft coupler. The removal/install process covers about 8 pages, and the coupler removal is 1 page. Let me know if you want xerox copies of the page(s). I can postal mail them to you. The entire section on the column is 11 pages in length. I can copy for 10 cents a side so along with the postage if you would send me back four 42-cent stamps after you get the pages that would cover my costs. I would believe that the couple can be bought as a separate part, but check at a dealer parts counter.
