Chrysler Repair: Code 23 and engine stops when on cold changing from P to D, dodge grand caravan, air inlet hose

Question
I'm new user of Dodge Grand Caravan year 2000 AWD 3,8l. When yesterday's morning I was trying to drive to work I was very suprised. I've started motor (went well) approx 800 RPM.. Ambient temp approx 3 degrees Celcius. Then I'm changing the gear from P do D, and engine stops. I've tried couple times. I've checked error code, it was code 23. After warm up the engine approx 10minutes, I've tried once again P do D and no problem. What is causing this strange behaviour?

Answer
Hi Chris,
I am surprised that you got a two-digit code, as those went out of fashion in the '97 model year. If is is a valid code, it says the inlet air temp sensor reading is out of normal range. That could be the cause for the engine dieing. It is located to the side of the air inlet hose, probably at the front end also near the battery,  and it has a 2-wire plug with colors dark blue/dark green and dark blue/light green.
Check the plug and is it is ok see what resistance it shows when cold and when warm. It should be high when cold (maybe around 10K ohms) and drop to around 1k ohms when fully warmed up. Let me know if I misunderstand the code.
