Chrysler Repair: 2000 Chrylser Concorde 2.7 liter, crank sensor, odometer reading

Question
MY car started running rough, so I checked the plugs. They were bad so I cleaned and regapped them to get me by until I could replace them. Well 2 weeks later the car got worse and now it won't start. So I replaced the plugs, checked for spark, checked to hear if the fuel pump was working. I tried to check the EGR valve but I can't find it. I also can't locate the crankshaft positioning sensor. Hell I'm just lost on these Chrylsers. What ever you can tell me would be a great help. I've looked through 75% of your other Q & A and that's been a great help so far. Thanks so much...........

Answer
Hi Sam,
The egr attaches to the rear of the right cylinder head, and you should be able to see if you remove the air inlet tube and resonator. To remove it you have to remove the throttle cable bracket and reposition it. Then remove the egr tube screws at the intake manifold plenum, disconnect the electrical connector on the valve. Remove the screws of the upper egr tube at the ege, and the ege mounting screws, and the screws of the lower tube at the exhaust manifold, then remove the valve and lower tube as an assebly. It doesn't appear to have a visible stem as did the earlier egr's.
The crank sensor is just above the trans differential housing, on the right side of the trans, the sensor looks at the flex plate.
Have you tried for fault codes using the ignition key:'on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then see if the odometer reading changes to show any 4 digit fault code numbers. Let me know if you find any. That would be the most efficient way to get a lead on the no start cause.
