Chrysler Repair: Fuse Blowing:Sebring Convert, IOD #5, powertrain control module, amp fuse

Question
QUESTION: Hello...I have a 2000 Sebring Convertible.  A 10 amp fuse blows that powers the remote door locks, remote trunk lock and the radio.  There is not consistency for when the fuse blows.  It blew twice today and may not blow again for days.  One final fact...when the fuse is blown I can turn on the ignition and the remote will work the door locks and trunk lock.  This leads me to believe the wiring is okay.  Any suggestions on where to start looking.

ANSWER: Hi Earl,
That fuse #5 is also called the ignition off draw fuse and it powers up about a dozen and a half lights all over the car which don't require the ignition to be in the run position for power. If you can possibly id any behavior that is going on when the fuse blows that would be the best clue. The other approach would be to put a digital readout ohmmeter on the cold side of the fuse socket and see how much resistance it shows with all the door closed and nothing else going on inside. Then you could try turning on each of the lights/devices to see which ones cause significant reduction in the resistance, down to an ohm or so which is the point where the fuse blows. Let me know if you want to try that and I will type in a list of all the possible devices to activate/de-activate while reading the ohmmeter.

QUESTION: I have tried my best to id anything that could be blowing the fuse.  I will try your suggestion to ohm the circuit to determine the problem.  I will appreciate a list of items on the circuit.  I am in no rush for the info.   Thanks so much for your assistance.  Earl

Hi Earl,
In no particular order here is what are on that fuse:

trunk lamp, traveller, body control module, door courtesy lamps, and the manual power door lock switches.
