Answer
Hi Joe,
I don't claim expertise about Jeeps so can only generalize. It sounds like the coolant temp sensor may not be tracking the engine coolant temp accurately, or if there is an intake air tamp sensor, likewise. I would get a fault code readout, free at an Autozone parts store or around $40 at an independent garage and find out what the 4-digit fault codes are, if any, that may be noted and stored by the engine controller. That code(s) would be the best info as to what to do to correct the warm start problem. If nothing along those lines comes up, then the problem could be that the fuel lines near the engine are so warm that the gss inside them vaporizes. I am uncertain what to do about that except opening the hood to let them cool off or trying a different grade of fuel. For specific response to the fault code may I suggest asking "Kevin" as he works at a dealer and knows the engine specifics and has access to manuals.
