Chrysler Repair: 1985 LeBaron Convertible: excess water, seat assembly, drain hole

Question
Hi. My '85 Lebaron convertible takes in significant water through the seams on both sides of the back floor. The car is low mileage, rust free and the top is perfect. Both bottom drains with the rubber flaps are free. It's like the water is finding it's way past the drains and pouring through the seams. I've taken the whole back seat assembly out and everything looks to be in place. The water is going exactly where it's supposed to, but somehow finding it's way through the seams. I know my way around a car pretty well, but this has me baffled. Thank you for any information you might be able to provide. Regards, Bob.

Answer
Hi Bob,
It appears that you have investigated the drains being closed, but did that include pushing a wire into the lumen of the drain hole to be sure it is truly open? Otherwise, I would suggest that you join the Yahoo Autos Group at http://autos.groups.Yahoo.com/group/theChryslerLeBaronClub/
and ask whether other owners may have an answer.
