Chrysler Repair: tool to remove rear caliper 98 town and country ?, rear caliper, haynes manual

Question
i'm not working on this or i wouldn't be asking -- from what my son in law says i think it is the teves caliper - he is calling/wanting to know what he needs to remove the guide pin bolts - he's working outside so he's probably quit for the night -it's dark here - looking at the bad pictures in the haynes manual it looks to be maybe an allen or torx -- what is it and the size ? thanks

Answer
Hi Don,
He will no doubt need an Allen hex wrench or hex fitting for a ratchet handle (like a socket but with a hex rod stub). It may be the case that he is having trouble because it may well be 7mm which is not used very often. But it will be available at any local hardware/auto parts store. The pins on my LeBaron are that size, so if the 6 mm slips and the 8 is too big, then no doubt he needs a 7.
