trsnsmission jerks shifting from 1st- 2nd gear at times

Get a fault code readout: try the ignition switch "on-off-on-off-on and leave on" doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. See if the odometer mileage reading changes to show any 4-digit fault codes. If so tell me what they are. Otherwise get a free fault code readout via the underdash plug near the steering column at an Autozone parts store or for $40 from an independent shop. Once you have numbers, ask what they mean and what they recommend, then write back and we'll compare notes with the shop service manual.
