Chrysler Repair: 04 Concorde no start, code 0118, coolant temperature sensor, fuel air mixture

Question
my car cranks but wont start .Chrysler concord 2004.before it did that i noticed the cylinder 2 was misfiring and wasn't revving over 3.5 rpm.obd 11 reads 118.after i changed coils and spark plugs but still one cylinder is misfiring. next day the car started hard and the day after it cranks but never start.is the problem related to ignition , fuel or compression.by the way i checked all the fuses and relays which they are ok.

Answer
Hi Fahy,
If I understand you correctly the fault code you have obtained is 0118, correct? If so, that is an indication that the engine coolant temperature sensor signal is incorrect. That could be due to a faulty sensor or two the wires that connect it to the engine controller being faulty. It is located at the top/front of the engine near the radiator hose connection and has tan/yellow and black/light blue wires (this is the description for the 3.5L engine if that is the one that you have?). The resistance across its terminals should be 10-20k ohms when the engine is cold. It wires are connected to pin 20 and pin 27, respectively at the powertrain control module. So check that out because if it is the problem that causes an improper fuel/air mixture which would prevent starting.
