Chrysler Repair: rear convertable window leak, rubber flap, stiff wire

Question
I understand that there is a drain tube for the back window for a 98' Sebring convertible. I get sitting water when it rains hard. How can I clean this out if it is a true statement. Thanks

Answer
Hi Gil,
If the water is flooding onto the floor rugs, the chances are good the the drain on one side or the other for such leakage is plugged.
If you will look/touch along the seams that run from the front of the rear wheel openings toward the door openings, on the underside of the body, you should find a rubber flap that guards a drain hole in the body. If you lift the flap and place a stiff wire in the hole it should open up and begin to drain the accumulated water. That is the most common reason for interior dampness.
