Chrysler Repair: 95 2.0L Crank Pully Install, damper pulley, crankshaft pulley

Question
Hi,

I am replacing the engine in a 95 Dodge Stratus, 2.0L.  I have the Harmonic Damper Pulley / Crankshaft Pulley removed.  In the manual there is no mention of how to re-install it.  Is this something that can be pounded on, or can the crankshaft bolt be used to pull it on?

I am nearly done with this project and have run into this roadblock.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Answer
Hi Luke,
The manual says to use a M12-1.75 x 150 mm bolt, washer, and nut and 'thrust bearing from special tool 6792'. Tighten to 105 foot-pounds.
The tool is no doubt made by Miller Special Tools which is the company that supplies most of Chrysler Corp-unique tools. If there is a commercial tool supplier in your area that would be the place to try, or look on-line.
Possibly there is a work-around of some sort that will do the same thing. The manual just shows the 'beaing' as some sort of thick washer-like item. You put the standard size nut on the bolt, then a standard washer, and finally the "thrust bearing" which evidentally is sized so as when pressed upon by the nut/washer it presses the dammper/pulley on to the crank as you turn in the bolt head. It is probably a thick washer with an ID slightly larger than the OD of the crank.
Please let me know if you figure out a work-around.
